Paul Smith is a managing director in the Manchester and London offices, and part of the Restructuring practice. He has more than 35 years of experience in corporate banking in senior roles with Barclays and Lloyds Banking Group, prior to joining the firm in 2010 to establish the Debt Advisory team.

Paul’s comprehensive expertise in advisory and turnaround helps corporate clients renegotiate, restructure or refinance their funding facilities. He has strong relationships with all the main lending banks, asset-based lenders as well as numerous UK funds who are active in the UK market.

Paul’s sector expertise includes manufacturing, wholesale, real estate, retail, professional, business services and technology.

The Debt Advisory Team works with clients across the UK and in terms of transaction size we can assist clients from £1m turnover, through to listed PLCs.

Paul is an associate of the Institute of Bankers and is a Fellow of the Institute for Turnaround (The IFT).
